About the event
Situated on the banks of Wainganga, the most sacred river of Vidarbha, Pauni is known as the ‘Kashi of Vidarbha’. About 85 Kms from Nagpur, Pauni lies in the Bhandara District, and has abundance of history embedded within.
The evidences of which are the ramparts of an old fort, long ghats, 100+ temples, beautifully carved Garud Stambs , lakes and gate. Pauni was also once a hub of the famous handloom Nagpuri Karvat Kathi saree , weaved here by people of Koshti community. Located within the Zadipatta region of Maharashtra, it has a unique rice based culinary culture which developed around the small region of Pauni within the zadipatta.
This is a day-long tour, curated specially for conscious travelers which includes a heritage walk, which would unfold the stories and folklore among the locals. The tour focuses on the history, heritage, textile, food & culture of the region. Join us for an amazing gastronomic experience!
