Terms and Conditions
Orange Odyssey (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) shall reserve the right to cancel a Tour for the general welfare and safety of the Participants.
The Company reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a Participant prior to beginning a Tour, to expel any Participant from the Tour once it has begun. Entrance to religious and holy places may be prohibited on grounds of inappropriate clothing and the Company shall not be responsible for such restrictions on Tours. The Participant shall bear the responsibility and expense including any fees charged for all property carried on their person including video cameras and cameras.
Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited during the Tours.
The Company may use photographs taken during the Tours for publications on its web sites and/or in print advertising and for promotional literature. Although at the start of the tour, verbal consent will be taken from the participants as mentioned in our Privacy Policy.
Any form of note-taking, and video or audio recording is not allowed on our tours without any prior permission. We put in a lot of effort to research, script, and verify our stories and this is our intellectual property. Please do not copy or reproduce our narratives in any form. If you are a guide, or a travel writer, or a blogger, please get our express written consent before the tour.
Disclaimer
The Company does not make any warranties or representations as to the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any statement, opinion, or other information including historical or scientific facts provided during the course of the tour by the walk leader/ team member. Reliance upon any such opinion, advice, statement, or other information shall also be at his/ her risk. The Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, liability, or expense incurred or suffered which is claimed to have resulted from the use of such information, including without limitation, any fault, error, omission, interruption or delay with respect thereto. The Company does not guarantee the exact arrival and departure times of any tour package and shall not be held liable for any missed connections nor any expense involved with delays.
The Company and/ or its representatives hereby assumes no liability in contract, tort, or otherwise on account of the loss of life, personal injuries, or property damages to the Guest arising out of any events, happenings, or occurrence during the tours except where such loss of life, personal injuries or property was caused by the fault or negligence of Company and except to the extent that such liability is imposed by law.
The Participant agrees to indemnify the Company from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of the conduct of any of the Participants on the tours, including without limitation any claims alleging facts that if true would constitute a breach by him/her of these terms and conditions.
The Company shall use all reasonable efforts to procure the best services of all third party agents such as carriers, hotels, camps, and other suppliers engaged by the Company for the purposes of providing food, refreshments, lodging, transport, and other facilities. These service providers are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or servants of, or joint ventures with the Company and the Company shall not be held liable for any personal damage, loss of life or property or expenses incurred due to any act or omission on account of such carriers, hotels, camps, and other suppliers.
Pricing, Reservations, and Payment Policy
In our dedication to spreading heritage awareness in the local community, we have kept the prices of our scheduled walks purposely low to allow full affordability. The rates are normally all-inclusive and include guide fees, tea/coffee/water, (if any) entry tickets, and transportation throughout the tour.
The prices for our day tours and other special tours will vary and when we open booking via this website and social media, they will be announced.
Please confirm all on-demand/ private walking tours at least 48 hours before the preferred date. All Private day tours need to be confirmed at least 72 hours before the preferred date.
We confirm tour bookings only on receipt of payment. Subsequent cancellations and alterations if any, will be as per the Cancellation Policy of the company.
For private/ on-demand tours:
Full payment is to be made at the time of booking. For Private tours booked more than a month in advance, a confirmation can be secured by paying 50% of the total tour costs. The balance is payable at least a month before the Tour date to retain the booking.
Refunds and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by the Company:

Cancellation of the tour due to circumstances beyond the control of the Company including but not limited to an act of God, riots, war, strikes, civil unrest, terrorism, governmental regulations, floods, earthquakes, fire, and other natural disasters, shall be made at the Company’s sole discretion without notice and with a full refund of fees (less the credit card refund charges, if any). For private tours, the actual costs incurred on special arrangements made for the tour (if any), including cancellation charges on vehicles booked will be deducted.

The Company shall at its option be entitled to cancel any tour on a full refund of the fees to the Participant.

If in any circumstance, we are forced to cancel a tour, we will give you the choice of a full refund or a postponement. If you choose the former, we will refund the entire amount.
Cancellation of Walking Tours/ Heritage Walks:
For Scheduled tours by the Participant-

The participant is required to pay for the tour only upon confirmation of the tour. After the payment for the tour is made, the Participant is entitled to cancel the participation in the tour with a full refund of the fees provided that notice of such cancellation is sent to the Company at least 72 hours prior to the tour or as otherwise specified in writing.

In the event of a late cancellation, i.e., after the timeline as specified above, no amount shall be refunded to the Participant. However, you can request us to postpone your booking to the next available tour on the same theme, and we will try our best to accommodate you.

If a Participant is unable to attend a tour (without prior cancellation) for any reason, we regret that it is not possible to refund any of the fees paid for the tour.
For On-demand /Private tours booked by participants or by travel agents-

The participant is entitled to cancel the participation in the tour with a full refund of the fees (less 50% cancellation charges) provided that notice of such cancellation is sent to the Company at least 7 days prior to the tour or as otherwise specified in writing.

In the event of a late cancellation, i.e., after the timeline as specified above, no amount shall be refunded to the Participant.

If a Participant is unable to attend a tour (without prior cancellation) for any reason, we regret that it is not possible to refund any of the fees paid for the tour.

For Private Tours, the above cancellation timelines are applicable even in case of a reduction in group sizes. In case of a reduction in group size, cancellation charges would be applied to the difference between the price for the original group size and the price for the revised group size.

Postponement request could be made 36 hours prior to the tour with the additional payment of the actual costs of (if any) special arrangements made for the tour.
For private tours booked more than a month in advance-

For all Private tours booked more than a month in advance, a confirmation can be secured by paying 50% of the total tour costs. The balance is payable at least a month before the Tour date to retain the booking.

Until a month before the Tour date, in the event of any cancellation, the standard cancellation charges will apply only on the advance paid.

No cancellation charges will apply for any reduction in the group size if made at least a month before the tour date. However, this does not apply to cases where the change results in the number of concurrent tours booked for the day. In such cases, the standard cancellation policy will apply for the canceled Tour(s).
For Outstation/ Overnight Tours or longer, the refund policy will be mentioned in each tour description.
Policy Regarding Illness, Disabilities and Medical Problems
Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition which may affect their participation in the tour must declare the true nature of such condition and provide us with full details before you make your booking so that we can try to advise you as to the suitability of your chosen tour. We may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying that you are fit to participate. Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking or if you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we will cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges when we become aware of these details, and may result in such persons being excluded from the tour in which case all monies paid will be forfeited and we will not be liable to pay any compensation whatsoever.
Where we accept your booking, you must make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment required during the tour.
For persons with pre-existing conditions including but not limited to illness, diabetes, pregnancy, asthma, gastric reflux, cancer, heart problems, epilepsy, respiratory or mobility problems you should visit a doctor for a personal medical examination obtaining a medical clearance that certifies you as fully able to participate in the tour as described within the company literature specific to your tour or tailored arrangements prior to booking. You are responsible for assessing whether a Tour/Tailored arrangement is suitable for you. We will not and do not provide medical advice. It is your responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each aspect of the itinerary based on your own unique circumstances, limitations, fitness level, and medical requirements.

We value the trust you place in us. Any personal data you share with us will not be shared with others without your explicit permission. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to any legal process. Our Website links to other websites that may collect personally identifiable information about you. Orange Odyssey is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those linked websites.
Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. During our tours and events, we ask for oral consent from all our customers at the very beginning of the event for clicking their photographs and putting them up on our social media platforms, websites, and other promotional material, offline or online.

We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site and no prior permission is required for the same.
