The city of Nagpur was founded by the Gond rulers of Deogarh and later it came under the rule of Nagpur Bhosales. The British conquests from the Marathas in central India earmarked the dawn of the British Raj in Central India. Nagpur being located geographically at the center was the Capital of Central Provinces & Berar.

Like many cities of the sub-continent, Civil Lines was developed even in Nagpur by the Britishers. The area being developed during and by British Raj, it is majorly dominated by the grand & beautiful buildings in the colonial style. This heritage tour takes you through this area and the predominant edifices here that were built by the Britishers. It reveals the stories and incidents from the colonial past of the city.

Let’s walk back in the time, through the places that are the spectators of this colonial era, and take a glimpse of these structures.
